I lost my job a few months ago, I worked all through the pandemic as I was considered an essential worker at a food store. Now I have been dismissed with cause and have no income. I have the usual bills to pay, but just am lost as to what to do. I know I need to find a job, but I seem stuck at the moment. Any advice?
I understand how you feel, and you will need to get some motivation at some point to get back out into the world.
Did you receive any payout from your job? I am guessing not.
You need to look into what benefits you may be eligible for, and as they say, sign-on.
DWP will aid you in finding another job. The job market has exploded in the past month due to the lock down being lifted, and it is an employee’s market. So you may find another job quickly.
You did not mention what bills you have or who you may owe?? You need to speak to them to let them know of your situation and circumstance. You do not need to go into detail, just advise them you are no longer working.
Get back to me after you see what benefits you are eligible for and speaking to who you have bills with, and we will move forward from there.
